The Media Rights Protection Center launches a mobile application - a legal guide for journalists.

The handbook is a short guide on the legal security of a journalist and the editors of the media, contains answers to typical legal questions raised by journalists, and also provides access to relevant extracts from media legislation. The handbook includes all major issues from the basic rights and duties of a journalist, to where a journalist can, without permission, take photographs, what is slander, how to define extremism in the text, etc.

The convenience of working with the directory is not only in its mobile format, but also in an understandable structure, accessible language of presentation, a hotline on which you can send a question to media tellers and get an individual answer, and of course the possibility of offline access to information.

The information base of the application is constantly updated and its updates become available when connected to the Internet.

The base will be constantly updated with the legal service of the Center for the Protection of Media Rights. In addition to general questions will be posted answers to the most frequently asked questions of users.

By decision of the Ministry of Justice, on February 26, 2015, the Media Rights Protection Center was entered in the register of foreign agents. In this regard, we indicate that the materials of this mobile application are distributed by a non-profit organization that performs the functions of a foreign agent (in the order of execution of Part 1 of Article 24 of the Federal Law "On Non-Profit Organizations"). The Media Rights Protection Center considers this decision illegal and will seek its repeal.
